Technical data
After imaging the Tarantula Nebula with the Seestar S30 Pro from Kagga Kamma, South Africa (https://niki-giannandrea-astro.com/en/galleria/tarantula-mosaic/?category=all&catalog=all&sort=date-desc), I wanted to revisit this extraordinary region of the Large Magellanic Cloud using a completely different setup. This time the data were acquired remotely from Australia with a full-frame ASI6200MC and the Optolong L-Synergy filter. The main goal was to evaluate the filter's performance under moonlit conditions and see how effectively it could isolate the nebular emission while preserving the surrounding structures. The next step will be to integrate this dataset with acquisitions made using the Optolong L-eNhance and L-Ultimate filters, comparing the contribution of each filter and combining their different bandpasses into a single final image.
