Technical data
Look… step outside, look up at the sky. Do you see Polaris? Now imagine how much dust and faint nebulosity surrounds it. Something almost unimaginable. I didn’t expect the field around this star to be so rich and structured. What you see in the image is galactic cirrus-extremely faint dust clouds belonging to our Milky Way. They don’t emit their own light, but instead reflect the integrated starlight of the galaxy, revealing a delicate and diffuse structure. These are among the hardest features to capture due to their extremely low surface brightness. All of this was made possible thanks to an exceptional sky and high-end equipment, capable of revealing details that are normally invisible.
