Technical data
A bright emission nebula and H II region, glowing due to intense ultraviolet radiation from young, massive stars. NGC 3576 is an active stellar nursery, dominated by O- and early B-type stars, whose powerful radiation and stellar winds sculpt the surrounding gas into pillars, filaments, and cavities. The nebula lies within a broader massive star-forming complex that also hosts evolved Wolf-Rayet stars, highlighting the extreme stellar evolution processes occurring in this region.
