Technical data
First light from the skies of South Africa. And what a sky. Captured from the Kagga Kamma Remote Observatory South Africa, Western Cape, under Bortle 1 conditions, this two-panel mosaic (1 hour each) with a Seestar S30 Pro delivered something I honestly didn't expect: natural sharpness, minimal blur, and impressive detail from just a 30 mm aperture. At the heart of this region lies Eta Carinae, one of the most massive and unstable stellar systems known, whose violent eruptions have shaped this vast nebula, one of the most active stellar nurseries in the Milky Way.
